SBPA AD 2.20 LOCAL AERODROME REGULATIONS

1 Airport regulations

OBS VAC for entrance to or exit from the traffic pattern.
ACFT shall exercise caution on final APCH to RWY 29 not to mistake it by the APCH to RWY 31 of Canoas AD, on the right of the path.
Marked obstruction (antenna) 1017FT ELEV located at Santa Tereza Hill COORD 300410S/0511345W, 10090M from THR 11 AZM 224DEG.
The AD may be regularly used by any ACFT which is compatible with RCD 4E or inferior.
Restriction to ACFT classes and types:
- ACFT WO EQPT RDO;
-  Gliders;
- ACFT WO transponder or with failure in this EQPT;
- FLT of powered ultralights.

Restriction to air services:
- Object launching or pulverizing;
- ACFT pushback operation;
- Parachute launching;
- Acrobatic flight.

If the scheduled time is not met within the maximum tolerance of 02 hours, the reservation will be canceled automatically. Aircraft parked in Apron 3 (with wingspan up to 16m) should be tied to the existing rings;
Reservations for aircraft with wingspan larger than 16m for main aprons 1 and 2 will only be accepted with confirmation of use of Pushback, Towbar and Operator, since there is no exit from parking position by own means.

10 High Intensity Runway Operations (HIRO)

High Intensity Runway Operations (HIRO) will apply between 0800-0300 UTC. The HIRO application time will be informed via ATIS and may be changed by ATC depending on specific demand needs. HIRO allows the reduction of runway occupation time, providing the optimization of separation between aircraft on final approach, between takeoffs and between landings/takeoffs, maximizing the use of runway capacity, minimizing the possibility of go-arounds and reducing waiting time on the ground and in flight. Pilots must adjust takeoff and landing to ensure the Minimum Runway Occupancy Time (MROT).

10.1.APPROACHES AND LANDINGS

Pilots must clear the runway at the fastest speed allowed by standard operating procedures and in compliance with operational safety, allowing ATC to apply minimum separation on final approach. All landing aircraft must ensure that the runway has been completely cleared before coming to a complete stop. During landing, the pilot must select an appropriate and feasible exit taxiway to ensure MROT.
Aircraft reference codes A, B and C must clear the runway on the taxiways indicated below or inform the Porto Alegre Approach Control and/or Porto Alegre TWR if they are unable to comply with this procedure.

RWY 11: Taxiway “E'' or earlier.

Note: On landings on RWY 29, aircraft shall not clear the runway at TWY E or F, unless instructed to do so by TWR PA.

10.2.DEPARTURES
- Pilots must be ready for departure when they reach the holding point. If not, inform the ground control.
- Alignment must be immediate as soon as authorized;
- Start rolling immediately after authorized (maximum reaction time expected: 10 seconds);
- Immediately make the initial call to the Porto Alegre APP after takeoff, in order to obtain instructions to clear the runway axis;
- The initial call to the APP after takeoff must be immediate and only observe the following pattern: "PORTO ALEGRE CONTROL [CALL SIGN]". Do not include any additional information to the aforementioned standard;
- Turboprop or piston aircraft, await radar vectoring or direct clearance to a published waypoint shortly after takeoff;
- Aircraft reference codes A, B and C must be configured to take off from RWY 29 from the intersection with TWY “E” (TORA: 1,995m). If it is not possible to comply with this procedure, the pilot must inform at the time of requesting the flight plan authorization; and
- In case of impossibility of taking off from RWY 29 from the intersection with TWY “E”, aircraft reference codes A, B and C must be configured to take off from the first turning area (TORA: 2,280 m). If it is not possible to take off from RWY 29 from the “E” intersection and the first turning area, the pilot must inform when requesting the flight plan authorization, warning that he will use the entire runway.
- Aircraft may be authorized to take off from RWY 11 from intersection C. In this case, the pilot must inform such
intention at the time of authorization of the flight plan.

Bird concentration (Southern lapwing,[Vanellus chilensis], eared dove [Zenaida auriculata], Southern crested caracara [Caracara plancus], swalow [Hirundinida]), on TFC circuit APCH SECT to RWY 11/29 and RWY 11/29 sides (adjecent lawns) in the period of higher incidence from AUG TIL DEC 0330-0530 1430-1600.

Avoid misunderstanding lights of RWY 11 with Av. Sertório, parallel to 900M (0,5NM) on the right of the runway. ACFT at the final approach to RWY 29, do not misunderstand with approach to RWY 31 at Canoas AD, on the right of the path.
